- What is it all about?
- Is it normal for there to be a thin, watery discharge from the vagina?
- Is there a cure for this problem?
- So what is this smelly and milky discharge from the vagina?
This is called Vacterial Vaginosis
Bacterial vaginosis is a sexually transmitted disease, and it can affect any woman, especially those who have several partners. If you do not get the disease on your own, but are able to contract it through sexual contact with an infected partner, you have the possibility of getting this disease.
Smelling from vagina is often associated with the smell from men. It is the same scent that they give off, so when you see your vagina, it would be easy to assume that it has that smell because it is also scented like them.
Although the smell from the vagina is not as strong as the smell from men, some women still get nauseous when they smell their vagina. This is called vaginal odor, but it may also cause burning in the vaginal area, pain during urination and sexual intercourse, and soreness in the vaginal area.
Women who are pregnant have a chance of having this condition because their bodies will produce more vaginal fluid. Because of this, they are more likely to get vaginal odor. Sometimes, women who are allergic to vaginal sprays may also suffer from vaginal odor. This is a side effect of using topical contraceptives.
Bacterial Vaginosis can easily be treated with antibiotics if you see a doctor for it
However, since the cause of the infection is bacteria in your body, this treatment would not always be effective. Smelling from the vagina can also be cured by using natural remedies that can be easily found around your home.
Some of these remedies include
- Applying garlic or yoghurt, and
- Taking a bath in a diluted apple cider vinegar
Douching can help to clear out the bacteria in your body by washing out the odour from your vagina. If you don’t want to douche, you can soak a tampon in water and insert it into the vagina so it can soak up the excess urine. After you are done with your treatment, you can wash it out with water.
Douches will help to clear out the smelly from your vagina because they dry out the odour in your vagina. Douches can be used either in the shower as a douche, or just dabbed directly on the vagina.
Douching can only be applied on a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks until you get rid of the smell completely. Treating this condition will not cost you anything. There are no side effects that can be associated with it. Some people also say that douching is very effective.
Applying a garlic clove or two to the vagina can help cure vaginal odor. Garlic is known to kill the harmful bacteria, so you will be able to cure the smell in your vagina in no time.
Taking a bath in a diluted apple cider vinegar can also be a natural treatment for smelly from the vagina. You can take a bath with half a cup of this vinegar. and bathe it away with warm water, and sit in it for about 20 minutes.
