Have You Considered Bananas and Diabetes?

Yes, you may still eat bananas, even if you suffer from diabetes. Bananas are an excellent source of potassium, fiber, and magnesium, but they don’t contain any sugar.

So in theory, if your doctor tells you to cut down on or completely eliminate bananas, you might be tempted to give up all fruits altogether, which is a mistake that could cost you your life. As an added note, in this article, I’m not recommending that you do anything, or that you cut down on your bananas in any way.

Bananas and Diabetes

First of all, sugar has been shown to raise the blood glucose level. This is not the same as insulin, which lowers the amount of glucose in the bloodstream. The problem is that sugar is a metabolite, and the body doesn’t process it properly.

The brain actually makes insulin to break down the sugar in our blood. But when the pancreas does not release the insulin, sugar simply builds up in the blood and gets stored in the liver.

Sugar itself has no calories

That is not the reason why some people have a hard time controlling their blood glucose. The reason is that they have too much insulin in their bodies. They also may have too much insulin in the body’s cells, which causes their blood sugar level to drop.

When you have too much insulin in the cells and in the bloodstream, it is very hard for your body to process your food and keep it from getting stored in the cells. As a result, your body tries to pull up the blood glucose level by making more insulin, and by sending the wrong signals to the cells.

This means that your body is unable to do what it’s supposed to do and respond to the sugar that you’re eating, and the sugar gets stored in your fat cells and liver. This can cause you to be obese, high in insulin resistance, and eventually diabetic.

So what can you eat that has no sugar?

  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Fish

These are your best choices. No sugar added, no added fat, no fat hidden by sauces, and no carbohydrates in any form. If you want to get healthy without having to give up everything you love to eat, then use natural fruit extract and eat whole, unprocessed foods like

  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Strawberries
  • Melon.
  • Or eat raw vegetables

Another way to have a healthy diet is to drink plenty of water

Water helps to cleanse your body of toxins and prevents the body from storing too much fat. It also cleanses the cells and removes the build-up of insulin, sugar, and other waste products in the cells. This is beneficial to diabetes sufferers because when insulin becomes too concentrated, it becomes a toxin and can cause damage to the pancreas and kidneys.

Drinking plenty of water also helps to prevent dehydration. Your kidneys are very important to health, and if they aren’t working properly, you could be at risk of hypoglycemia, low blood sugar, and kidney failure. Drinking plenty of water will help to keep the kidneys working properly and prevent the risk of these complications from happening.

Another good way to eat fruits is to consume them in combination with nuts. Fruits and nuts contain anti-oxidants and can help to protect your cells and reduce inflammation. Nuts contain antioxidants and help to protect the heart, reducing the risk of coronary artery disease and other heart disease.

Drinking lots of water is another healthy way to eat fruits and vegetables, but you need to drink more. Consume eight glasses of water daily, preferably more than that. The trick is to take a multi-vitamin and make sure that you’re eating more potassium.

To have a healthy life, you should incorporate these practices into your daily routine. Start slowly and stick to what you know works. Don’t start eating all the time.
