This may reduce the chances of getting pregnant during the ovulation period. In addition, obesity and excessive alcohol consumption can affect fertility for women above the age of 35 years since these habits affect the ability of the female to metabolize estrogen.

Couples may reduce their chances of having children if they change their lifestyle habits and take up exercise regularly. They may also consult a fertility doctor and ask for advice on making changes in their lifestyle habits that may reduce their infertility.
A study found that there is no significant difference between pre-conception smoking during the actual pregnancy period. Women who smoke before getting pregnant are more likely to experience miscarriages or still births.
Other lifestyle changes such as drinking, taking drugs, skipping meals, and engaging in sexual activity while smoking may also affect their fertility. Overall, a healthy lifestyle and proper diet have positive effects on fertility. Therefore, it is advised to eat healthy foods and stop smoking if you want to increase your chances of getting pregnant.
